Our base is fully operational and is designed for easy navigation and use by all our members. We’ve done our best to keep the layout simple and informative enough so that everyone who enters will have a general idea of where stuff is. This map should help fill in some of the blanks and make using the base even easier. Clicking on the different rooms of the map will bring up a bigger display with details for that room, including zone information for the porters.
- Entrance – Room A. Upon entering the base you find yourself in the room marked “A” on the map. This is our base entrance and servers as a central location to give members equal access to the different rooms.
- Zone Porters – Rooms B and C. To the east you’ll find rooms “B” and “C”. These rooms are our teleporter rooms. (Click on the rooms to view where each teleporter is).
- Infirmary – Room D. This room is where you rez in the base if you are defeated while playing. We’ve also added a Break Free, Respite and Catch of Breath dispenser in the room. There is also an inspiration bin in the room to let you drop off or pick up any random inspirations you may need. (Click on the room to view it full sized and see where the items are located).
- Library and IO Storage – Room E. Room E is houses all the level 30 IOs we’ve created for our members to use. You’ll need to be a “Patron” (see the ranks section) to take the IOs from the bins. There is also a personal salvage vault and workbenches members can use to create their own IOs. (Click on the room to view it full sized and see where the items are located).
- Workshop – Room F. The Workshop is where we store all of our base salvage needed to make the different items in the base. It also contains two extra enhancement bins for various common IOs people have made and two inspiration bins for storing more inspirations. (Click on the room to view it full sized and see where the items are located).
- Trophy Room – Room G. The trophy room contains two extra enhancement bins that we use to house common IOs of varying levels. Just like the level 30 IOs in the Library, members are free to take what they need to long as they’re playing in SG mode and earning prestige. (Click on the room to view it full sized and see where the items are located).

In order to compensate for the influence loss our members will have while playing in SG mode we’ve created hundreds of IOs for them to use while leveling up their character in City of Heroes.
The majority of the common IOs we’ve crafted are level 30. The reason for this is because they are slightly stronger than normal SOs and never degrade in value as you level up. They also never need to be replaced. You can use these IOs even if you’re past level 30.
Many of the IOs can be found in the Library (Room E on the map) and have been separated into different categories for each bin. If you’re unsure where something is, use the map above to see which bins contain which IOs. If you can’t find a certain type of IO you need, please tell a leader so we can make it for you.
Since the bins are open to anyone from the patron rank up, it isn’t a good idea to store your own IOs in the bins for long periods of time. Others may take them on accident thinking we’ve placed them there to be used. Also, to keep things from becoming unorganized, please refrain from putting IOs or SOs in the bins for others to use. While we appreciate the help, things can get really cluttered if items are thrown into the bins at random. If we need help filling them, we’ll let players know ahead of time and where to put the items they make.

As of Issue 13 Base salvage is no longer required for any part of the game. If you find that your character has excess base salvage, you can use an Invention Table to convert any Base Salvage into Brain Storm Salvage. You can then use the same table to convert your Brain Storm Salvage into Invention Salvage. This can be used to craft your IOs or sold on the market. The conversion rate for each rarity (common, uncommon, rare) of Invention Salvage differs. All converstions into Invention Salvage are random.
In addition to the Base Salvage change, each Salvage Bin in the base now only holds 30 pieces of salvage (event, invention, and special). We ask that players use the bins solely to store unwanted event salvage. Members are free to use the bins to transfer salvage to different alts if they want but please do not leave it in the bin.

As of Issue 13 Empowerment stations buffs can only be created using Invention Salvage. You’ll find these items located the workshop (Room F). They’re used to create minor, temporary buffs for your character.
