John Larsen was an up-and-coming archeologist exploring Scandinavia when he discovered what he first took for an ancient spear. A more careful examination led to the realization that the spear had a technological component. He traveled around Europe looking for ideas about its origin and ended up in a local Crey facility. When a Crey security team tried to take the weapon from him it activated and injected John with advanced nanites that transformed him into T-Beast, an extraordinary warrior with a completely different personality. He broke free and traveled to Paragon City where Statesman helped him become the next big thing. His powers traveled to his son, Michael Larsen. After a failed council attack on the original T-Beast. Michael took the stage as the "new" T-Beast. Still going to Statesman to learn of his lost father...
